A feasibility study to rebuild a Grade II Church Hall in
an inner city setting to provide a new Community
Centre with additional facilities which could also be
used by the Parish.
The project as originally conceived was deferred due
to insufficient funds and an inability to raise
additional monies in the time available. Work was
commissioned instead, on a more limited budget, to
repair and upgrade the existing premises.
Whilst structurally serviceable the premises were in
disrepair and building services and fittings were out
of date and inadequate for modern requirements.
Services were replaced and new lighting provided. The
hall floor and toilets were refurbished
and additional meeting spaces provided. The building
was extensively repaired and redecorated.
