Anglia Forwarding were a successful freight forwarding company operating from rented premises in Barking which the company had outgrown.

RWA were appointed by Anglia to prepare designs for a purpose built depot on virgin land in Rainham to help fulfil their ambition to become one of the leaders in their field.

The new development included boardroom and office accommodation and a large warehouse with its internal organisation and loading facilities designed to accommodate the fast and efficient turnaround which is crucial to the company's operation.

The new development was completed in 1989 and growth was such as to necessitate the extension of the office wing two years later.
