Richard House is Londons first hospice for children
with terminal illnesses. Operating as a charitable
trust, the hospice provides support and respite care
for the children and for their families.
Ronald Wylde Associates have been involved with
the project since its inception, initially producing
outline designs which helped to secure lottery
funding and, more recently, developing a detailed
design to enable the construction of the project.
The development is located adjacent to an area of
woodland in docklands and has been landscaped
to provide both formal and informal spaces around
the various wings of the building.
In addition to the residential facilities a day centre is
included and the building hosts an outreach service
and houses administrative staff.
